Brian Evans, PsyD

Dr. Brian Evans is a clinical psychologist who has been in practice since 2008 and currently provides behavioral sleep medicine services at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona. He has worked in a wide range of integrated settings, including sleep medicine, primary care, and rehabilitation medicine settings.

Brian Evans earned his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology, where he specialized in health psychology. He completed his pre-doctoral internship in Neuropsychology at UC Davis Medical Center and his residency in Sleep Medicine at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon.

Dr. Evans has advanced training in evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). His approach is grounded in a strengths-based, biopsychosocial understanding of health—recognizing the complex interaction between mind, body, and environment in shaping overall wellness.

He is particularly interested in the role of restorative sleep as a foundation for living a full and meaningful life. Dr. Evans works collaboratively with patients to address difficulties related to sleep, stress, and emotional health. His work is compassionate, trauma-informed, and infused with humor and warmth to foster a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship. He strives to create a safe space where patients feel understood, empowered, and actively involved in their healing process.

Dr. Evans values collaboration and tailors treatment plans to each individual’s unique goals, preferences, and life context. Whether supporting patients in improving sleep, managing stress, or navigating emotional challenges, he emphasizes practical strategies that build resilience and enhance overall quality of life.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Evans enjoys exploring the outdoors, staying active, and continuing to learn about the evolving science of sleep and health.
