Kaitlyn Masai, PhD

Dr. Kaitlyn Masai, Ph.D., is a behavioral sleep medicine psychologist at The Insomnia and Sleep Institute of Arizona’s Scottsdale and Gilbert clinics.  She graduated from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology in 2017 with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.

She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Hampton VA Medical Center and her post-doctoral fellowship at the Phoenix VA Health Care System with an emphasis in health psychology.  Dr. Masai has extensive training in evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression (CBT-D), Prolonged Exposure in Primary Care (PE-PC), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She also holds certifications in CBT-I, Primary Care Mental Health Integration, and CPT.

Dr. Masai values an integrative, evidence-based approach that is tailored to the unique needs of the individual being treated. She primarily works with patients who have chief complaints of insomnia, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She has experience providing behavioral interventions to address various emotional and medical concerns. Dr. Masai believes in using a person-centered approach to assist people in reaching the goals that are important to them. She is passionate about sleep as the foundation of good mental and physical health.
